We know that our clients rely on local, sustainable, fresh, high-quality produce and value for money from their food supply chain and we now have access to over 2,000 local and national suppliers, making it easier than ever to stock for them to stock their sites and enables them to enjoy quality assurance throughout their supply chain with full product traceability.

Locally sourcing

By sourcing locally, we are supporting local farmers and businesses that use sustainable methods of production which eliminates the need for long-haul transportation methods such as airplanes and trucks.  Building a local supply chain has many economic and environmental benefits including reducing food waste and ensuring quality and freshness.

Our commitment

We are committed to working with and supporting local suppliers, our supplier partnerships are built on trust and transparency which means we’re on the same side of the table when it comes to negotiating costs. Our supply chain partners must have the expertise, focus and time to innovate, meaning our clients benefit.

When it comes to sourcing, we have a strong dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion. And our procurement teams work hard to maintain existing and build new non-food and food supplier relationships, providing you with a wide range of products and procurement strategy solutions.

As part of Compass Group, we’re committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2030, which is part of the delivery of the Carbon Net Zero commitment of our parent organisation.

Supply chain reviews

We are constantly reviewing our supply chains with a particular focus on how we can attract and support suppliers to become more sustainable, with a spotlight on regenerative agriculture and a switch from animal to plant-based proteins, as well as further enhancing local and seasonal sourcing.

Additionally, our approach is to reduce, reuse and recycle single-use plastics across our food and drink supply chains and if this isn’t possible, we review how we can source alternative products that meet the requirements.

  • We believe in local supply.
  • We believe that great relationships with suppliers are key to opening new deals, making the most of our partnerships and expanding our offer for clients – not to mention all working towards Diversity, Sustainability and Net Zero targets.
